IDBF World Championship Races Crew Composition

Read article

December 2006 - With Sydney coming up, apparently there have been some rumors circulating around the dragon boat world that the number of crews per nation allowed in the senior and junior classes has changed, to be in effect for Sydney.

Please be aware that there is no change in the present regulation for Sydney, that is, two Junior crews, two Seniors and one Grand Masters per nation, as a maximum.  However, after Sydney (in other words, for Moscow 2009), one Senior Crew, one Grand Masters and two Juniors crews will be allowed per nation.

For more details on the current crew composition regulations in effect, see the IDBF Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing (ed. 4), sections 1.5.1 and 2.1.
