24 August 2012Jen ThomasMike, my thoughts are with you...whatever I say can not make up in any way for your sad loss. I first met Phyll when she came to Llysfaen as a supply teacher for a short time...this short time extended into 24 years!! Whenever I think of Pyll, I see her smile, her great sense of humour and her readiness to help. She was a kind and generous person and a very professional and gifted teacher. I feel privileged to have worked with her and know her.

01 August 2012Corinna & Dick LimPenang, MalaysiaI am so sorry that I never had the chance to know about her sickness all this while. When I managed to send you a note, I never knew that I was late already. It came as a shock to us to receive your mail of Phyll's passing. Never had a chance to say goodbye to her. I have a lot of fond memories of Phyll at this moment....those were the days when I was assigned as Race Secretariat for a few championships with Phyll, when she headed that section. She was a good teacher...who was humble and would guide and gave me a lot of opportunities to learn. I would cherish those moments with her. Once in a while, I would joke with Dick about how many times Phyll had mistakenly called Dick all the way from England.....and when Dick picked up the phone, Phyll only realised that she has called the wrong person and we would laughed it away. But like what you have mentioned in your poems, we can remember her and only that she’s gone Or we can cherish her memory and let it live on. May her beautiful smile, humbleness and sweet memories forever linger on in our memories. We will miss her dearly. May you also take care of your health and not be too stressed out. Will keep you in our prayers.
